Focusing on Safety at ACHEMA 2012

It was truly amazing experience for a first timer like myself at one of the most important chemical exhibitions in the world, ACHEMA 2012 in Frankurt Messe. So many halls presenting the latest technologies and developments for chemical and process industry. A great opportunity for networking with industry professionals and creating new business contacts. For us technology enthusiasts, it is the same like for a child in a candy store – you just can’t get enough, even with tired legs after hours of standing and walking.

Metso Automation selected safety as one of the main themes for this year’s exhibition. Safety was clearly in mind for many other exhibitionists and event organizers, too. This is for sure a follow up of the process industry’s trend in general: safety is taken seriously. Requirements for process runtime targets are increasing, legislations are getting tighter and companies want to send people home safely after the working day. These requirements set more challenges for equipment safety and reliability.

Metso Automation is answering to these challenges by providing solutions as a single, one stop shop valve manufacturer; all components from valve body and actuator to controllers, manufactured, tested and configured as a complete assembly. Understanding the process application by correctly selected valves brings the added value completed by intelligent valve controllers.
