Process Technology and Innovation (PTI)
PTI, Process Technology and Innovation, is a division of Metso which offers a global consulting service for the mining and construction industries. Our team of highly motivated and specialized engineers (mining, metallurgical, chemical and software/ electrical) have a strong RTD background and extensive mining and metallurgical plant production and consulting experience.
PTI’s particular focus is providing industry with total process integration and optimization services. These include optimization of the mining (drill and blast), comminution, flotation and dewatering processes for both greenfield and existing operations. The main objectives are to reduce operating costs, increase production rates and improve overall process, energy and water efficiency.
The vision of this team is to provide a technical resource of the highest quality to both industry and Metso's related business lines. We offer consulting, products and laboratory and pilot plant services. We have been able to deliver considerable increases in the production of our customers operations: significant increases in throughput (5 to 30%) and metal recovery, cost and energy reduction, as well as overall process efficiency increases (from the mine to the plant) have been achieved at a number of operations worldwide.
Our central office is in Brisbane (Australia) and we have engineers based in different regions of the world so that we can better service our customers. Our offices and facilities are in Australia, Brazil, Chile, Finland, India, Peru, Russia, South Africa, Turkey and USA.
