Conical ball/pebble mills
Metso's conical ball/pebble mills are most efficient when the maximum feed size is less than 2" and iron contamination is not a factor.
Conical ball/pebble mills are suitable for:
- Ball mills for use of metallic media
- Pebble mills for use of ceramic or natural rock media
- Single stage fine grinding
- Regrinding
- Second stage in two stage grinding circuits

- Particles of different sizes and densities, when revolved in a cone will classify themselves with the largest pieces at the point of the greatest diameter
