Slotted opening panels

Trellex long slot screens are designed to offer higher production rates by providing a greater percentage of open area than square opening screens.



Long slot screens are suitable for applications where the material is damp and prone to blinding or where greater throughput is required. Sta-Clear and Rek-Tang screens are available in several weaves and metal types.

Benefits for REK-TANG panels are:

• Available in a complete range of openings
• Reduced amount of elongated particles passing compared to a longer slot,
• Reduces blinding and pegging,
• When changing from a square-opening screen to a REK-TANG we suggest reducing the square opening by 10-15%.

Benefits for STA-CLEAR panels are:

• Can be manufactured with a wide range of openings and slot lengths
• Provides a very high percentage open area
• Allows for maximum throughput of material
• Very effective at reducing blinding and pegging.
• STA-CLEAR is suited for applications where there is low percentage of elongated particles or where the product does not have to be cubical.
