Metso Corporation's company release on February 3, 2010 at 12:00 a.m. local time

Metso has received an order to deliver a biomass boiler to RWE npower renewables for a co-generation plant to be located at Tullis Russell Papermakers at Markinch, Fife in the UK. The commercial operation is scheduled for begin 2013. The value of the order is approximately EUR 75 million, which will be included in the Energy and Environmental Technology´s Q1 orders received.

Metso´s delivery includes a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler with a capacity of 155 MWth and a flue gas treatment plant. The new power boiler will be part of a co-generation plant that will supply the paper mill of Tullis Russell with heat and electricity from biomass, mainly recycled wood.
