Squirt Mk III

Renew the precoat on the lime mud filter during operation

The flow of lime mud to the kiln is thereby uninterrupted and the amount of lime mud is consistent with a high and stable dryness content. This means higher kiln capacity, lower fuel consumption, more consistent lime quality and more stable and problem-free operation of the kiln.

Squirt Mk III is the standard for all newly manufactured lime mud drum filters from Metso
It can be easily installed on existing filters of all makes. A profile is fitted between the drum and the casing. Inside the profile is a nozzle head. The nozzle head is driven up and down the drum when the filter is in operation. A jet of water cuts a groove in the precoat layer, which is then renewed. Meanwhile, a second jet of water cleans the filter cloth.

The profile and nozzle head are fitted on the inside of the filter casing via a hole on the gables of the casing. This makes assembly fast and simple, and the risk of splashing and clogging is completely eliminated. The drive unit is fully particle-free to ensure problem-free operation and low maintenance requirements. The unit is fitted on the side of the filter and is therefore easy to handle.
