The major features of the UDI-N111 design include angled, sliding dams, large and open inlet zone for improved distribution of raw material and multi-angled bars for increased capacity and controlled fiber retention time. This patented design provides a number of direct benefits to MDF producers.
Lower energy consumption results in substantial savings
Installation of UDI-N111 segments can reduce specific energy consumption by 10%. This can result in substantial annual savings. A reduction in energy consumption of 20 kwh/ton based on 30 tons/hour, USD 0.03 per kwh and 7,000 hours results in savings of USD 126,000.
Increased capacity with same motor size
As a result of the lower specific energy requirement, total capacity can be increased with same motor size, assuming that peripheral equipment can cope with this higher capacity.
