Wet end ventilation
Wet end air systems, such as former and press ventilation systems, reduce the heat and vapour load into the machine room. Another important function is to decrease the need for cleaning and to improve the runnability in the wet end.
The effective droplet separators and the sound attenuators, again, reduce the emission to the surroundings of the mill.
Former section ventilation
Improves the cleanliness of the former section:
- improved runnability
- fewer sheet breaks
- reduced risk for machine damage
- reduced number of shut-downs required for cleaning
Prevents droplets and fibres from spreading into the machine room
- reduces risk for damage on the building and machinery caused by the humidity
- improved working environment
- the machine room ventilation system can be designed for a smaller heat and humidity load
Efficient droplet and fibre removal from the exhaust air
- keeps fibers from spreading into the surroundings of the mill
- prevents ice formation on the roof in cold climates
Designed together with the paper machine supplier
Press section ventilation
Improves the cleanliness of the press section
- improved runnability
- fewer sheet breaks
- reduced risk for machine damage
- reduced number of shut-downs required for cleaning
Prevents droplets, fibres and steam from spreading into the machine room
- reduces risk for damage on the building and machinery caused by the humidity
- improved working environment
- the machine room ventilation system can be designed for a smaller heat and humidity load
Efficient droplet and fibre removal from the exhaust air

Water and Droplet Separator
The exhaust air from the paper machine wet end contains large amounts of water and fiber particles. The water and droplet separators are designed to remove water and contaminants from the exhaust air before entering the fan and further out of the building. The pressure losses of the separators are minimized so as to not affect the exhaust air amount.
