In line with Metso's energy strategy and our ambition to provide sustainable solutions for the tissue making industry Metso has established the Metso Tissue Technology Award.
Environmental efficiency in focus
The purpose is to promote university students' and scientists' work to develop innovations for sustainable tissue production. The award can be obtained for further development of an innovative thesis or as a reward for remarkable results of work completed.
Focus area for 2015 is Environmental efficiency e.g. innovations improving the use of energy, water, fiber, chemicals, reducing emissions or
improved handling of waste products.
Great reward to best innovation
The Award will be granted every second year and the first winner will be presented in conjunction with the Tissue World exhibition in Barcelona, Spain, 2015.
In addition to honor and attention from the tissue making industry world-wide, the total prize amount is USD 25.000.
