Personnel
The personnel expect their employer, Metso, to provide competitive employment conditions, secure employment and a chance for professional and personal development. Interaction with employees is the responsibility not only of the immediate superior but also of the business unit, business area and corporate management as well as the human resources function.
In its employee relationships, Metso conforms with the conventions set by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Practical work is guided by the Metso personnel policy and the Human Care concept. Cooperation organs between the personnel and management include the work safety committees, the corporate cooperation committee in Finland and the Metso Forum, which is a European-wide cooperation organ between management and personnel that conforms with EU directives. Metso units apply different forms of cooperation which are relevant to and conform with the local conditions and legislation.
