Environmental management

Metso's environmental management aims to improve the eco-efficiency of its customers as well as its own operations. To achieve this, we must continuously analyze our customers' needs and anticipate changes in their operating environment. We also need networking and active cooperation with our various stakeholders.

Metso's environmental management has four focus areas: development of eco-efficient technology, promoting clean and low-risk operations, active networking, and open communications on environmental matters.

In our environmental policy we adhere to the Business Charter for Sustainable Development drawn up by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). We consider the environment in our own operations as well as in the products and services we offer our customers. We cooperate on environmental issues with our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to improve the efficiency and minimize the environmental impacts.
