One Company, Common Values
Achieving the defined objectives requires continued reinforcement of a common Metso identity. The building blocks of this identity are the common values and the ways of working corresponding to them. At the end of 2000, Metso’s values were defined to guide the work of each Metso employee towards attainment of the common objectives. The values are customer’s success, profitable innovation, personal commitment and professional development. During 2001, Metso businesses have held value workshops and the majority of employees have participated in them.
In the beginning of the year under review all of Metso’s
business areas adopted the common Metso name that for its
part supports the emergence of a common identity. The corporation’s
entire personnel became Metso employees. The challenge for
2002 is to ensure that the most recent members to the Metso
family participate in the work aimed at building a common
future.
