Metso is again taking part in WWF’s global Earth Hour 2017 climate action by encouraging employees to participate. On Saturday, March 25, 2017, Earth Hour is spreading awareness about climate change and inspiring people to take action. All around the world, companies and organizations as well as cities and individual people will join forces to send a message to the decision-makers of the world by switching off lights in succession from one time zone to the next.

WWF Finland has been one of Metso Group’s main partners in sponsorships for over fifteen years. Metso recently signed a sponsorship agreement with WWF Finland to support WWF's Saimaa ringed seal conservation work. This rare endangered species is also affected by climate change. In honor of Earth Hour 2017, Metso invites individuals, teams and locations to take part in this global movement and shine a light on the need for climate action by switching off the lights from 8:30-9:30 p.m. your local time.
