Prades MT expands earth moving business to concrete waste recycling with Metso Lokotrack® ST2.3 mobile screen

Prades Movimiento de Tierras is a Spanish company that specializes in earthmoving and excavation. A few years ago, the company recognized the need to expand its services into construction and demolition waste recycling (C&D waste). Integrating the Metso Lokotrack® ST2.3 mobile screen into its operations has enabled the company to better serve its clients, improve sustainability, and open the door to further expansion of its recycling capabilities.

According to Leonid Novikov Lifantsev, who leads business development and sales at the company, the goal was to deliver a more comprehensive service to customers while reducing the environmental impact of the company’s operations. “We needed a machine that would work for us right away, that’s easy to operate without requiring much maintenance, and above all, for which our supplier can offer us very good customer service and after-sales support,” he explains.

The Metso Lokotrack® ST2.3 mobile screening plant checked all those boxes. Despite his company’s lack of prior experience with C&D waste, Novikov Lifantsev says the machine is simple to set up and intuitive to use. Deploying it is quick thanks to its hydraulic folding mechanism, while the straightforward control panel provides a user interface that makes it easy to operate, even for those with no background in scalping screens. “We have a machine that is operational from the get-go, and it allows us to produce various materials.” Prades MT is very pleased with the expert support of Truck & Ma. Truck & Ma is a dealer for Metso machines in Valencian community and acts as a sub-dealer for HJM, the distributor and importer of Metso in Spain.

Reliable and build to last

Maintenance on the Lokotrack® ST2.3 is minimal, but when needed, it’s designed to be hassle-free. Service points are positioned for quick access, making routine checks and basic repairs simple. Built for durability, the machine’s sturdy construction and premium components mean fewer breakdowns, less need for upkeep, and more consistent production.

Using the Lokotrack® ST2.3, Prades MT is now producing reusable material from recycled construction and demolition waste. Prades MT sees potential in its new recycling operation, and Leonid shares the company’s plans: “There we see the product, the crushed and screened material. In the future, we will be able to recrush it and offer various types of products to recycle and to sell.”
