Metso supplies a BCTMP production line to China

Metso Paper will supply a BCTMP (bleached chemithermomechanical pulp) line for mechanical pulp production to Shandong Bohui Paper Co. Ltd. in China. The new line will start up in September 2004. The value of the order is not disclosed.
The delivery will include process technology for chip washing, main-line refining and screening, reject thickening and refining, pulp washing, bleaching and steam separation, as well as complete wood- and chip-handling systems. Metso will also supply the process control system.
The design capacity of the line is 660 tons per day of high-quality, high-bulk BCTMP pulp for board production. Chinese poplar will be used as raw material.
Shandong Bohui Paper Co. Ltd. is located in the city of Bohui, Shandong Province. The company is a subsidiary of Shandong Bohui Paper Group, which currently ranks as the 8th largest paper producer in China with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons of paper and paperboard.
