Metso Paper will supply a complete tissue machine to Laurel Hill Paper Co. in Cordova, North Carolina. The machine is scheduled to start production in the second quarter of 2006. The value of the order is not disclosed.
The machine will represent the Advantage DCT100 tissue machine concept, and will have a nominal wire width of 2.7 m, an operating speed of 1,600 m/min, and a daily production of 80-100 tons of high-quality towel and bathroom tissue grades.
Laurel Hill has been producing and converting tissue-type papers from 100% recycled furnish at their Cordova mill since 1985.
