Many stationary furnaces use water-cooled elements to protect their refractory, ensuring long campaign times. Our cooling element design is based on operational data gathered from over 30 customer smelters worldwide. The optimal type of cooling element is selected for each application, based on the heat load, conditions, and location of the cooling element in the furnace. In cooling element design, heat conductivity and heat transfer capabilities are maximized with correct material selection, shaping, and other design features.
