Q-Trim from Metso: Self-cleaning and noise attenuating valve technology
The patented Q-Trim technology from Metso stages the downstream pressure drop to ensure that the highest pressure in line stays below the vapor point. The result is that noise can be reduced by up to 30 dB, limiting vibration stresses on surrounding infrastructure and helping achieve compliance with noise regulations.
Q-Trim also includes self-cleaning valve trim to prevent buildup of media impurities in the valve. This feature improves safety by ensuring valves will operate reliably.
