Reliable high-efficiency elliptical motion screening
High-moisture screening is always a big challenge and easily results in blinding if water is not added to the process. Metso has been exploring this area for many years and has pushed the limits of difficult-to-screen applications step by step. Elliptical motion in combination with the banana-shaped deck configuration enables superior screening performance for those difficult applications.
The EF3673-2 screen with self-synchronized elliptical motion, achieved without gears and timing belts, can vary from high to medium G acceleration to eliminate blinding and pegging. Elliptical motion combines the advantages of circular and linear motion, with particles receiving multidirectional elliptical forces. Elliptical motion in combination with banana shaped screen decks and the high transport speed allows for higher capacity than circular motion screens.
The screen design makes maintenance easier and safer, as it has few parts and a comfortable amount of space between the decks. In addition, the Trellex® PS screening media with the Hammerless attachment system can be used to further improve safety.
The EF screens are equipped with two counter-rotating circular motion mechanisms of different sizes. The optional electronic synchronization allows for stroke angle adjustments.
