CHANGE IN THE SHAREHOLDING IN OUTOTEC OYJ

ANNOUNCEMENT UNDER THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT, CHAPTER 2,
SECTION 10 OF A CHANGE IN THE SHAREHOLDING IN OUTOTEC OYJ

In accordance with the Securities Market Act, Chapter 2, Section 10
Outotec Oyj announces that on April 26, 2007 Outokumpu Oyj (business
ID: 0215254-2) has sold its total holding of share capital and votes
of Outotec Oyj (5,039,999 shares, which is approximately 12% of the
share capital and votes).

After the transaction, Outokumpu Oyj owns no Outotec Oyj shares.

The share capital of Outotec consists of 42,000,000 shares and each
share is entitled to one vote at the general meeting of shareholders.
