Tapani Järvinen to continue as Outotec s President and CEO at least until the end of 2009

OUTOTEC OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE, JULY 25, 2007 AT 7.30 AM


Outotec Oyj's Board of Directors and Tapani Järvinen, the President
and CEO of the company, have agreed to amend Järvinen's CEO contract
to be effective until the end of 2009, and thereafter for the time
being.

Risto Virrankoski, Chairman of the Board, comments: "According to the
prior agreement, signed with his former employer Outokumpu, Tapani
Järvinen had the right to resign and retire with a six month notice.
With this agreement we secure that the company has Tapani's
experience and skills at hand at least until the end of 2009 when he
turns 63."
