European Steel Technology and Application Days (ESTAD)
Sebastian Lang started his scientific career with a research project at Virginia Tech in 2009 and later, received his PhD in 2015 from the University of Technology Darmstadt. After his time as research associate at the Institute for Thermal Process Engineering, he joined Metso Outotec as process specialist and is today responsible within the product group Ferrous as Director for business development and modelling topics. Sebastian says, his motivation to join Metso Outotec back then was to realize industrial scale projects dealing with hydrogen, which was always a fascinating part of his research. He is closer to achieving this goal than ever before with MO’s hydrogen based Direct Reduction Technology on its way to commercialization.
