Rotary breakers 9’-0 Standard duty
The Standard duty rotary breakers can be used on more friable coals. They can be furnished in four different lengths: 12 ft (365.76 cm), 16 ft (478.68 cm), 20 ft (609.6 cm) and 24 ft (731.52 cm). The lengths vary due to the required throughput. The correct length for your installation can be determined by tons-per-hour feed, harness and grindability index of the coal, screen analysis of run-of-mine coal, and top size for final product desired.
The unit includes the breaker drum, dust hood, bearings, trunnion rollers, drive mechanism and necessary protective guards. They are equipped with special design screen plates, lifter, shelves and plows which are cast of alloy steel or manganese steel.
The chain drive is located at each end of the breakers, synchronized to give even torque and smooth operation. The breakers of shorter lengths can be driven from one end. The dust hood can be furnished either rectangular or curved top, depending on the location of the drive.
Rotary breakers 10’-0 Heavy duty
The 10’-0 Heavy duty rotary breakers are designed to have a positive control of the top size of coal and trouble-free operation. They are available in lengths of 16 ft (478.68 cm), 20 ft (609.6 cm) and 24 ft (731.52 cm). The length is determined by using the same properties as for the Standard duty rotary breakers.
The maintenance of these rotary breakers is minimal since there is no center shaft or spoke interference. As in the other sizes, the breaker rides on trunnions. Depending on the location of the drive, these breakers are available with either rectangular or curved dust hood. With a rectangular hood the chain drive and motoreducer can be mounted on the top.
10’-0 Heavy duty breakers are equipped with special screen plates that are cast of alloy steel. The lifter shelves and plows are also cast of alloy steel or manganese steel. Wire mesh safety guards are provided for all drives.
Rotary breakers 12’-0 Heavy duty
Heavy duty 12’-0 breakers were designed to handle run-of-mine coal feeds. The breakers are available in lengths of 18 ft (548.64 cm), 22 ft (670.56 cm) and 27 ft (822.96 cm). The length is determined by using the same properties as for the other Metso rotary breakers.
The undersize coal is immediately screened out through the perforated plate, which minimizes the production of fines. These breakers are equipped with special screen plates for each breaker installation. The plates can be cast from manganese, alloy or fabricated steel.
12’-0 heavy duty breakers are available with either rectangular flat top or curved top dust hood. The trunnion rollers are equipped with self-aligning, anti-friction roller bearings. The chain drive is located at each end of these breakers, synchronized to give even torque and smooth operation.
