Proven Performance

Our apron feeders are robustly engineered with premium components and features that allow our apron feeders to keep running. Highlighted by our Metso Endurance Series pans, heavy duty frame, sealed for life tractor chain and rollers, and sealed for life tail wheels ensure high availability. The roller modules, segmented sprockets and hinged, ”no-lift” guards enable safe, fast and efficient maintenance access.

Standardized

Metso apron feeders are pre-configured with standard widths and lengths from our AF4 – AF10 range to allow for faster selection and implementation including in Metso Bruno software. 2D drawings and 3D models for the pre-configured range of apron feeders are available for download on the Feeder Resource Center for easy upfront plant layouts. Pre-configured, proven and repeatable designs allow for faster delivery, as well as, globally stocked, readily available spare parts.

Industrialized

Metso manufactures over one apron feeder per week using dedicated production facilities and a quality team. Combined with our re-configured designs, this industralized approach ensures consistent manufacturing quality and reliable delivery times.

Our Endurance pan is the industry’s proven workhorse, engineered to deliver unmatched durability, wear life and superior sealing. The Endurance pan was designed with premium features for the toughest applications including:

Cast wear hardening material reaching up to 500 bhn in service for long wear life and fewer replacements
Integral grouser for high efficiency material shearing during bin extraction

Metso DXF: Set & forget dribble collection

Apron feeders are a low maintenance machine which can require a dribble belt conveyor to capture the fines below depending on the layout. Dribble belts often require high levels of maintenance to prevent operational issues such as belt tracking and leakage.

The new Metso Dribble crossover feeder (DXF) eliminates these common issues allowing for “Set & forget” fines collection. Using the same principals as the Metso Crossover™ feeder, the belt over pan design to eliminates belt misalignment and tracking issues. Sealed for Life tractor components allow for higher availability than traditional conveyor components. Sidewall belting reduces fine material leakage.
