Lokotrack® LT106™ performs in Antarctica
Leidos, the prime contractor for the Antarctic Support Contract, chose Metso Lokotrack for its rebuilding project at McMurdo research station.
Safe and easy to operate
Lokotrack® LT106™ mobile jaw crusher, or mobile jaw crushing plant as it is also called, is often used as a primary crusher in a multistage crushing process or as a stand-alone unit. It is ideal for medium-sized aggregates production, as well as recycling demolition waste such as crushing concrete, which can be re-used as base material for sidewalks, for example.
Lokotrack® LT106™ is equipped with Nordberg® C106™ jaw crushing unit, especially designed for crushing hard rock types such as granite, basalt and gneiss.
The CAT® engine with hydraulic drive ensures trouble-free operation. The hydraulic drive enables the crusher direction to be changed in the event of blockage to clear the cavity. You can add flexibility with additional features like a radial side conveyor, screen module or long main conveyor.
Metso IC™ process control system optimizes crushing results. It enables single-button start and stop and features in-built troubleshooting as well as various parameter selections. All Lokotrack® mobile crushers in the same crushing process can be linked with Metso IC™. Furthermore, the whole process can be monitored and controlled conveniently from the excavator cabin with Metso ICr™ remote control software.
Lokotrack® LT106™ mobile crusher is mounted on tracks, so it can be easily moved inside a quarry or construction site and transported between sites on a low bed truck.
The compact dimensions and agility on tracks reduce operational costs. Thanks to feed hopper sides with a patented and safe hydraulic securing system, Lokotrack® LT106™ is ready for crushing or transport within minutes.
Are you crushing in a city, near schools, residential zones or close to other populated areas? Lokotrack® mobile jaw crushers are also available as noise and dust encapsulated versions called Lokotrack® Urban™ Series mobile crushers that comply with stricter noise and dust regulations and enable crushing closer to public.
Design features such as engine layout and flywheel composite covers, with spacious service platforms and generally excellent accessibility, make daily operations safe and easy.
