Metso expands Lokotrack portfolio with two new mobile crushing plants
Metso Corporation’s press release on September 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. EEST
Metso is expanding its Lokotrack® mobile crushing portfolio with two new models designed for different customer applications. The new Lokotrack® LT400RS™ mobile impact crusher, part of the Lokotrack® EC Range, is designed for demanding aggregate recycling and demolition applications, while the Lokotrack® LT200HPX™ mobile cone crusher delivers efficient aggregate production with integrated screening in a compact mobile package.
As urban development and infrastructure renewal increase, construction and demolition waste is becoming a growing material stream. Materials such as concrete, asphalt and mixed demolition waste are more difficult to process than quarry rock, as they often contain rebar, wood and other contaminants and vary greatly in quality. The LT400RS is engineered to meet these challenges. As part of Metso’s diesel-electric Lokotrack EC Range, it helps recycling contractors process demanding waste materials more efficiently while reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
"The launch of the LT400RS and LT200HPX further strengthens our Lokotrack offering by bringing customers purpose-built solutions for two important applications: recycling and aggregate production. The new models help customers improve productivity, lower their cost per tonne and maintain high uptime. Backed by Metso’s strong aftermarket offering and global support network, they help customers get the most out of their investment throughout the equipment lifetime," says Jarmo Vuorenpää, Vice President of Track Solutions at Metso.
Lokotrack LT400RS expands the Lokotrack EC Range for recycling
The Lokotrack LT400RS, a new 70-tonne diesel-electric mobile impact crusher, combines high crushing and screening performance with the mobility to relocate quickly from site to site. It helps recycling contractors increase productivity, improve material separation and reduce operating costs, while enabling lower emissions.
"The LT400RS is designed to meet the core needs of recycling customers: reliable high capacity, efficient material separation, and easy relocation between sites. With its diesel-electric drive and electric grid connection, it delivers strong performance while helping customers achieve the lowest possible operating costs," says Vuorenpää.
The Lokotrack LT400RS, part of the Metso Plus - Opens in a new window offering, supports more sustainable and efficient aggregates operations by helping customers improve productivity, and reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
Key highlights
- Proven crushing performance: the new 250 kW Nordberg® NP1213MR impact crusher with a two-breaker-plate option, supported by a 430kW genset rating and heavy-duty blow bars for recycling.
- Efficient material separation: a large 2-deck product screen (6.4 m2), powerful wind sifter, and an adjustable electromagnet help produce clean, accurately sized end products.
- High, problem-free capacity: wide conveyors, generous clearances, and excellent cleaning access ensure seamless material flow.
- Lower cost per tonne: diesel-electric power transmission and the possibility to connect to an external grid power help reduce fuel consumption, emissions, and noise.
- Easy relocation: onboard foldable side conveyors and compact transport dimensions. The screen unit can be transported separately when needed.
- Safe and simple to use: a patented mechanical system allows access to the crusher only when the rotor has stopped, making wear part changes safer.
- New ICX automation system: larger display, easy troubleshooting, and new features such as production recipes.
Lokotrack LT200HPX boosts aggregate production with integrated screening
The Lokotrack LT200HPX is a versatile mobile cone crusher designed for reliable aggregate production. A 2-deck pre-screen and a large 2-deck product screen (5.6 m2), provide efficient screening in a single track-mounted package, while a robust design and wide conveyors enable seamless material flow and high capacity. The direct crusher drive improves fuel efficiency, and smart folding functions simplify transport and maintenance.
Key highlights
- High-capacity Nordberg® HP200e™ cone crusher for hard rock crushing and excellent end-product quality with no-backing liners for quick, easier and safer liner change and wide cavity options.
- Flexible screening options: customers can choose a 2-deck pre-screen, a large 2-deck product screen (5.6 m2), or both to match their application needs.
- Direct crusher drive for improved fuel efficiency.
- Robust design with wide conveyors supporting reliable operation and high throughput.
- Easy transport and maintenance through smart folding and lowering functions and extensive service platforms.
Both new products are compatible with Metso digital services, including Production Performance and AI-powered Predictive Maintenance, helping customers optimize production, plan maintenance more proactively and maximize uptime.
The new models are being presented at Steinexpo in Germany on September 2-5, 2026.
