At Metso, we aim to create a positive summer trainee experience for everyone, and after every summer we gather feedback from the summer trainees to develop the experience even further. Here is some of the feedback we received in summer 2022. β€‹β€‹

“Metso has a good atmosphere where it is understood that students need support in their work and that knowledge is only growing. Expectations are set on a realistic level for trainees. From the eyes of a trainee, it is easy to join the team.” β€‹β€‹

“I’m especially grateful to our manager and team leader for being so helpful. Metso really cares about all employees regardless they work permanently or not. I felt that my manager was interested in my professional development and growth. MO is a great place for a trainee, and it offers a strong start for future professional growth.” β€‹β€‹

“Great colleagues who understand the needs and wants of a Summer Trainee. I had mentioned that I am going to specialize in a specific topic in my studies in the future and I had a lot of opportunities created for me by my awesome colleagues to work with this topic without me even asking about it!” β€‹β€‹

“My supervisor and buddy gave me versatile tasks, and I feel that gained a lot of experience during the summer and was given responsibility. It's nice to work both in the office and in the factory area, this way you can see what you're working on in practice. Thank you for the summer!” β€‹β€‹

“My supervisor was encouraging, supportive, took me into account, and actively asked about how I was doing. Thanks to my supervisor, I truly felt part of the team.” β€‹β€‹
