An integrated feeding solution

Built for reliability in tailings and concentration applications, the Metso Filter discharge feeder (FDF) is a feeding solution for the discharge of filter cakes.  This belt feeder sits below the Larrox® FFP filters.  There are 11 models specifically designed in consideration with the dimensions and operations of the FFP Series of filters.

Each model includes a hopper to collect the cake and a cake breaker to break up the cakes for smooth discharge.  Instruments are provided to interlock with filter operation.  Sizing methodology has been optimized based on filter discharge to reduce the installed motor power.

 Each FDF consists of:

  • Belt feeder including frame
  • Belting
  • Carry idlers - optional retraction feature available
  • Return idlers
  • Head and tail pulley
  • Electro-mechanical drive assembly
  • Guarding and electrical instruments
  • Receiving hopper
  • Cake breaker
  • Skirts
  • Discharge feed chute
  • Multiple liner options
  • Safety instruments
